    No. 4 Arizona vs. Oregon: Wildcats lose first game

    Arizona’s undefeated season has been hanging by a thread for awhile, as they’ve narrowly escaped in last-minute wins over Florida, San Diego State and Colorado in the last few weeks.

    They almost pulled off another miraculous comeback on Thursday, but they ended up falling just short in a 70-66 loss at Oregon.

    Miami vs. North Carolina: Hurricanes win 68-59

    With a decisive 68-59 loss to Miami on Thursday night, North Carolina has now lost as many game as it lost all of last season.

    The Hurricanes don’t have Reggie Johnson, their star center, but they still dominated the Tar Heels on the glass and controlled the paint in the second half to close out North Carolina.

    Dana Altman’s team has won 16 straight games in the friendly confines of their relatively new arena, and a No. 4 Arizona team visiting is the highest ranked in the complex’s one-plus year history.

    The Ducks and Wildcats are really quite opposites in regards to where their experience is; Arizona’s is on the perimeter with seniors Solomon Hill, Kevin Parrom and Lyons, while Oregon’s lies in the interior. Tony Woods and Rice transfer Arsalan Kazemi will test the Wildcats.
