No. 10 Florida vs. Texas A&M final score: Gators drop Aggies, 68-47

Mike Rosario and the Florida Gators started and finished red-hot in an impressive blowout road victory over SEC-newcomer Texas A&M.

The No. 10 Florida Gators cruised to a 68-47 victory over the Texas A&M Aggies in SEC action on Thursday night at Reed Arena in College Station, Texas.

Mike Rosario scored 11 points in the first seven minutes of the contest, and the Gators finished the opening half on a 14-0 run to put the game away early. Texas A&M hung with Florida for 15 minutes, making it a 21-18 game after Elston Turner's jumper at the 5:35 mark in the first half. However, the Gators made seven of their final 10 shots before the break, while the Aggies went 0-for-6, allowed two offensive rebounds and turned the ball over once to close out the half.

The Gators continued their onslaught of buckets in the second half, opening up a lead that reached as high as 30 points while shooting 50 percent from the floor. Rosario led Florida with 19 points, while Patric Young finished with 18 and Erik Murphy chipped in 16.

Alex Caruso finished with 10 points for A&M, which did not have a player enter double figures in scoring until J'Mychal Reese's three-pointer at the 2:08 mark in the second half. Florida's stifling defense held the Aggies to 34-percent shooting.
