No. 6 Arizona vs. UCLA final score: Bruins upset Wildcats, 84-73

UCLA dominated No. 6 Arizona from start to finish on Thursday night in Tucson behind Shabazz Muhammad’s stellar performance.

The UCLA Bruins used a fast start to upset the No. 6 Arizona Wildcats, 84-73, on Thursday night at the McKale Center in Tucson, Ariz. UCLA jumped out to a 19-3 lead and never trailed after the opening minute of the game.

The Wildcats cut the Bruins' lead to 10 points at halftime, and fought back to cut their deficit to as little as four points in the second half. However, behind the efforts of star freshman Shabazz Muhammad, UCLA was able to keep its distance from Arizona, which entered the game with just one loss.

Muhammad finished with 23 points on 8-of-16 shooting in front of numerous NBA scouts and general managers, while David Wear pitched in 15 points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Bruins (16-4, 5-1 Pac-12).

Nick Johnson led the Wildcats (16-2, 4-2 Pac-12) with 23 points, and Solomon Hill contributed 13 points and 10 boards in the losing effort.
