James Michael McAdoo scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the No. 19 North Carolina Tar Heels to an 84-51 victory over the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks on Tuesday evening at the Dean E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill.

The junior forward scored his second-most points and grabbed his second-most rebounds of the season to lead North Carolina to its seventh win in nine home games this season.
The win was the third straight for the Tar Heels (10-3), who shot 52.3% (34-for-65) from the field and outrebounded Wilminton 46-30.
McAdoo was efficient in his scoring, making 11 of his 14 field goal attempts, including six points in a 12-2 stretch to start the second half to break open an eight-point halftime advantage. Brice Johnson added 14 points and seven rebounds for North Carolina.
UNC outscored Wilmington 53-28 in the second half.
Cedrick Williams led Wilmington with 18 points and nine rebounds in defeat. The Seahawks shot just 31.1% (19-for-61) in the game.
North Carolina opens ACC play on Sunday night with a road contest at Wake Forest. Wilmington (6-9) dropped its fourth straight contest and fell to 3-6 on the road this season. The Seahawks open Colonial Athletic Conference play on Saturday at home against James Madison.
