No. 21 Memphis vs. Southern Miss final score: Tigers defeat Golden Eagles, 89-73

Memphis used a huge run at the end of the first half on Saturday to blow past Southern Miss and stay undefeated in conference play.

Shaq Goodwin scored 19 points on 6-of-7 shooting as the No. 21 Memphis Tigers coasted to an 89-73 victory over the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles on Saturday afternoon at FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn.

The game was tightly contested for the first 16 minutes of the opening half, at which point Memphis began a 15-2 run to take a 46-30 lead into the break. The onslaught continued out of the locker room, as the Tigers opened up a 22-point lead after Goodwin's three-point play a little more than a minute into the second half.

Dwayne Davis scored 18 of Southern Miss' 30 first-half points, and finished with 28 in the loss for the Golden Eagles (21-7, 10-3 C-USA).

Chris Crawford pitched in 19 points off the bench for the Tigers, who remain unbeaten in Conference USA play and are 24-3 overall.
