Down four at the half, Kentucky used a 13-4 run to go up by seven with just under 10 minutes to play, fueled by a three from Archie Goodwin and five more points from Alex Poythress.
Goodwin did not score in the first half, but came alive for the Wildcats to score all 18 of his points after intermission.
Alex Oriakhi had a monstrous double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds, while Phil Pressey led Missouri with 27 points and 10 assists.
In a tie game with a minute left, Pressey went coast-to-coast for a layup to put the Tigers on top. Just a few seconds later, Willie Cauley-Stein answered with a basket of his own to bring things even at 75. Neither team scored after that, giving fans the ninth SEC overtime period of the day.
In overtime, Kentucky held a two-point lead as Pressey brought the ball down the court for the Tigers with just under a minute left . Pressey then got caught in the air and turned the ball over and Missouri fouled to avoid the fast-break. Ryan Harrow converted on both free throws to put Kentucky up four and the Wildcats held on for the huge win at home.
