According to a GoVolsxtra.com, Wills was observed on surveillance video breaking into Thompson-Boling Arena. An affidavit of complaint from the Knock County General Sessions Court said Wills broke into Tennessee event management director Bill Whitesell’s office using a saw. Wills caused $750 worth of damage and stole $4,150 from a desk in the office.
Wills spent eight seasons working with the basketball program before being let go last offseason. According to the report, the incident occurred between 3 and 4 a.m. ET and Wills was seen on video walking inside the arena carrying what appeared to be a saw.
Wills was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 6. He joined the Tennessee staff in 2003 and spent one season working with Tennessee head coach Cuonzo Martin before being let go.
