Wisconsin vs. Ohio State final score: Buckeyes win Big Ten Tournament

Wisconsin failed to score a field goal in the last seven minutes of the game as Ohio State pulled away in a tight defensive battle to win 50-43.

The Ohio State Buckeyes held the Wisconsin Badgers without a field goal for the final seven minutes of the game, winning the Big Ten Tournament championship 50-43. The championship game was everything you'd expect from Big Ten basketball, particularly from a Wisconsin game. Two hard-nosed teams playing tough defense in a low-scoring game that stayed close until the end.

The second half was back and forth with no team leading by more than three points until an eight-point run by Ohio State gave the Buckeyes a 47-41 lead with under three minutes to play.

Deshaun Thomas continued his role as the best scorer in the Big Ten with 17 points and seven rebounds. The Badgers put forth a more balanced scoring attack as Traevon Jackson led the way with only 10 points.

In the first half, a 14-point Wisconsin run gave the Badgers a 20-13 lead, but Ohio State answered back. The Buckeyes closed the half on an 8-point run of their own led by Thomas to close the gap at the break to one point, 24-23.

Neither team was able to hit from deep all game, with the Buckeyes going 1-for-15 and the Badgers making just three of their 18 three-point attempts.

The win should secure a two-seed for Ohio State in the NCAA Tournament. Wisconsin is safely in as well, and expected to earn around a four-seed.
