La Salle will next face Kansas State on Friday. That game will tip at 3:10 p.m. ET from Kansas City, Mo.

The Explorers led for almost the entire game, relinquishing the lead for just 37 seconds in the early going. They shot 58 percent in the first half and made five threes, leading by as many as 14 before the Broncos cut it to eight at the break.

But Boise State was never able to get it much closer than that. Anthony Drmic hit a three to open the second half and bring the La Salle lead to just five, but the Explorers then scored nine of the next 13 points to bring the lead to double digits.

Garland led La Salle in scoring with 22 points on 9-11 shooting. Ramon Galloway (21 points), Sam Mills (15 points) and Jerrell Wright (13 points) also scored in double figures for the Explorers, who shot a season-best 63 percent for the game.

Drmic went off for 28 points for the Broncos, but his performance coupled with 14 from Derrick Marks was not enough. Boise State cut the deficit to six with under a minute to go, then Galloway scored on a breakaway layup to answer and put the Broncos away.
