The Missouri Tigers and Colorado State Rams will face off in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, and most experts are split on who they think has the upper hand.
2013 NCAA men’s basketball tournament: Game time, TV schedule for Colorado State vs. Missouri
The Tigers and Rams will face off in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, and figure to play a close game.
Missouri had a successful first season in the SEC by and large, but they struggled with consistency in the second half of the season. Since losing to UCLA on Dec. 28, the Tigers were only able to put together one three-game winning streak. That, paired with two consecutive opening NCAA Tournament losses, make the ninth-seeded Tigers a tough team to predict entering this tournament. However, Missouri is the second-best team in the country in rebounding, which should come in handy.
Unfortunately for Missouri, however, Colorado State is the nation's fourth-best rebounding team. The Rams are the higher seed in this matchup, but as with most eight versus nine games, it seems to be a toss up. Colorado State went 11-5 in a very tough Mountain West in the regular season, and made it to the semifinals of the conference tournament before bowing out against UNLV. Colton Iverson leads the Rams in both scoring and rebounding with 14.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
Game time, TV: Thursday, March 21, 9:20 p.m. ET, TBS
Location: Rupp Arena, Lexington, KY
