Outpouring of support for Kevin Ware

There were lots of prayers and wishes for Kevin Ware after he broke his leg in gruesome fashion in Sunday’s Elite Eight game.

In Sunday's regional final against Duke, Louisville sophomore Kevin Ware suffered a sickening leg injury. It looked like a compound fracture of his right leg, and he's been taken to an area hospital. If you haven't seen it, look elsewhere.

There’s scant good news. So much as an amateur basketball matchup is important, his teammates shook off the emotion of watching their teammate in pain and hold a slim lead at the half. And if there’s a good place to suffer a brutal leg injury, Indianapolis isn’t necessarily a bad place to do so:

For what it's worth, Twitter immediately rallied around Ware's cause, starting with Joe Theismann, whose injury immediately came to mind Sunday:

Former Louisville running back Michael Bush broke his right tibia in college:

College basketball is pretty much my favorite thing on the planet, and I'm sort of staring at my screen in a daze right now, so best wishes for Ware, and for his teammates who somehow have to focus on basketball right now.

So let’s end with hope:
