Iowa is 3-1 in Big Ten play while Ohio State is 2-2, a testament to how difficult it will be to rack up wins in the best conference in basketball. Each team plays Minnesota next, with Ohio State traveling to Minneapolis for a game Thursday and Iowa hosting the Gophers on Sunday.

Tyler SmithBaylor blew past the Horned Frogs behind a career-high 23 points from Taurean Prince. The Bears’ winning margin was decided at the half, with Baylor heading into the break up 51-25. Rebounding was an issue for TCU against Baylor’s froncourt, as the Bears grabbed an otherworldly 24 offensive rebounds. TCU’s Brandon Parrish scored 16 in the losing effort.
It was all freshmen as the Jayhawks pounded in-state rival Kansas State. Andrew Wiggins led Kansas in scoring with 22, with Wayne Selden, Jr., close behind with 20. Center Joel Embiid scored 11 and grabbed nine rebounds despite playing just 19 minutes due to foul trouble. The Jayhawks are now 2-0 in Big 12 play.
