The Hawkeyes had five players score in double digits, pulling away from the Buckeyes for a signature Big Ten road win.

The game was hotly contested until the final minutes, when the Hawkeyes pulled away as Ohio State’s shooters went cold. Iowa forced the Buckeyes into 17 turnovers and blocked four of their shots, keeping the talented Ohio State backcourt off balance.
LaQuinton Ross scored 22 for Ohio State, who has now lost two straight after the heartbreaker to Michigan State.
Iowa is 3-1 in Big Ten play while Ohio State is 2-2, a testament to how difficult it will be to rack up wins in the best conference in basketball. Each team plays Minnesota next, with Ohio State traveling to Minneapolis for a game Thursday and Iowa hosting the Gophers on Sunday.
No. 12 Louisville 71, SMU 63
Louisville got hot from behind the arc to knock off SMU on Sunday. Leading scorer Russ Smith joined forces with deadeye Luke Hancock to shoot the Mustangs out of the gym. The pair was a combined 7-for-14 from the three-point line, leading the Cardinals to their third win in American Athletic Conference play.
SMU made just two of its 11 attempts from deep, shooting 37 percent overall from the field. The Mustangs did grab 20 offensive rebounds, but couldn’t convert enough second-chance attempts to hang with the Cardinals.
Smith and Hancock each finished with 23 on the day. Montrezl Harrell had another big game for Louisville, with 12 points and 13 rebounds. The big forward also blocked four Mustang shots in the contest.
Louisville is now 3-1 in conference play, while SMU falls to 1-2.
Washington 71, No. 15 Colorado 54
Washington outscored Colorado 45-25 in the second half Sunday to pull away from the Buffaloes and claim an easy victory. Spencer Dinwiddie and Askia Booker, CU's top two scorers, were mostly non-factors, and the Buffs' offense struggled along with them.
Colorado shot just 34.5 percent from the field, and Booker missed all nine of his attempts. The team was also just 1-of-12 from three-point range.
Washington guard C.J. Wilcox led all scorers with a season-high 31 points on 12-of-18 shooting, including a 7-of-12 effort from beyond the arc. Andrew Andrews and Nigel Williams-Goss also scored in double figures for the Huskies. Washington shot 47.3 percent as a team, including 45 percent from deep.
With the win, Washington improved to 11-6 overall and 3-1 in Pac-12 play. CU dropped to 14-3 and 3-1.
