No. 13 San Diego State’s 1st half against Washington was terrible

The Aztecs may not be a good offensive team, but this was still really bad.

No. 13 San Diego State is off to a solid start to the season. They haven’t blown away the competition, but were 6-1 entering Sunday with only a 61-59 loss to No. 3 Arizona. The Aztecs have been excellent on defense, but had some issues on offense. Those issues cropped up in a major way during the first half against Washington.

SD State

That is not an error, San Diego State really made just 5 of 30 shots in the first half, including 1-of-9 from three-point range. That is ... not good. Only backup forward Angelo Chol made more than one shot in the half.

The good news for San Diego State? The Huskies aren’t exactly lighting up the scoreboard and Washington leads just 21-15 at the half.
