KenPom gave #shockers a 72% chance to beat Indiana State, a 78% chance to beat N. Iowa. Win those 2, WSU likely runs table in regular season
— Eric Prisbell (@EricPrisbell) February 6, 2014 Though the Shockers beat Indiana State by 20 earlier in the season at home, this one was close throughout. Wichita State led by one at halftime after the Sycamores closed the period on a 13-5 run. Indiana State then briefly took the lead to start the second half, but that was erased by five quick points from Early to start a 9-0 Shockers run.
The Sycamores pulled to within two later, but never led again.
Early led all scorers with 19 points and Tekele Cotton added 14 more. Manny Argo shot 7-15 from the field and scored 16 points to go with eight rebounds to lead Indiana State.
Wichita State has seven games remaining, with four of them on the road. The Shockers visit Northern Iowa on Saturday for a 9 p.m. ET tip on ESPN2. They also host Missouri State, who is in third place in the Missouri Valley Conference on Senior Day, March 1.
