Arizona vs. Oregon: Wildcats rally at home to beat Ducks, 67-65

The pressure got to Oregon, who faltered against one of the country’s best defenses.

Arizona avoided its second straight loss in the final minute against Oregon on Thursday night, holding off the Ducks, 67-65. The Wildcats won despite shooting 25 percent from three-point range and 54 percent from the free throw line.

Arizona played its first game without Brandon Ashley, the sophomore forward who broke his foot and is out for the season, on Thursday. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson -- normally the sixth man -- stepped in and had a great game. The freshman had 14 points and 10 rebounds in his first start in conference play.

Ducks' leading scorer, Joseph Young, hit a number of shots, finishing with 14 in the game. Jason Calliste chipped in 14 as well off the bench for Oregon.

Aaron Gordon twisted his ankle in the game, briefly being taken to the locker room. He returned and finished the game with no obvious issues.

The Wildcats -- now 9-1 in conference -- maintain a healthy lead over the rest of the Pac-12. They suffered their first loss of the season last Saturday against Cal.
