Notre Dame isn't supposed to have enough size to beat a team like North Carolina. The Irish start four guards, which seems like a poor recipe against a team with Kennedy Meeks, Brice Johnson and Isaiah Hicks, especially on the road. The Irish do have one big advantage over North Carolina, though, and that's shooting. On Monday night, it helped the Irish go into Chapel Hill and come away with a 71-70 victory.
Notre Dame keeps rolling with impressive win at North Carolina
The Irish are 15-1 now.

The win continues an incredible start to the season for Notre Dame. The Irish are now 15-1, with that lone blemish coming by one point against a solid Providence team. Mike Brey’s squad has an identity, a star player and an ability to hit shots.
On Monday, the Irish got the job done without the help of that aforementioned star. Jerian Grant shot only 1-of-8 from the field to finish with eight points before fouling out. In his absence, Notre Dame got quality scoring nights from Zach Auguste (18 points), Pat Connaughton (16 points) and Demetrius Jackson (15 points).
North Carolina again showed an inability to hit shots from the outside. The Tar Heels shot 4-of-16 from three-point range and only made 36.9 percent of their shots from the field on the night.
The loss drops North Carolina to 11-4.
