Justin Taylor Still Committed To Alabama, But Has Now Heard From Five Other Schools

North Atlanta three-star running back Justin Taylor says he's still committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide after that whole not-having-a-scholarship-he-was-promised deal, but he's also listening to other offers. He tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that another school would have to be " an unbelievable situation" for him to make the switch, but adds the Mississippi Rebels and a pair of prep schools to the list of programs that have already tried to sway him (Tennessee Volunteers, Purdue Boilermakers).

It sounds like Taylor’s circle of trusted advisors didn’t quite know what to make of Nick Saban’s offer of a 2013 scholarship instead of a 2012, either. However, Taylor’s apparently being empowered by all the attention his story is bringing.

At one point in the conversation, Alabama assistant coach Chris Rumph is stumped by questions raised in the AJ-C blog’s comment section -- a comment section that has a particular reputation around the Southeast, but is really no worse than the average newspaper comment section. Still, it’s a newspaper comment section, not exactly the kind of forum known for constructing dazzling arguments.
