Daje Johnson, a top recruit out of the Austin area, has committed to the Texas Longhorns, according to ESPN. Johnson had been committed to TCU for over a year, but his heart appeared to be with the Longhorns. He holds more than 15 BCS scholarship offers, and is a consensus four-star recruit. Johnson was one of TCU's top recruits, and this is a major loss for the Horned Frogs.
Daje Johnson Commits To Texas Longhorns
Texas takes Daje Johnson from TCU.
Johnson is 5’9, 185 pounds, and has excellent athleticism. He’ll likely contribute as an all-purpose back at Texas.
SB Nation’s excellent Texas site, Burnt Orange Nation, has more on Johnson:

Though Johnson could end up on either side of the ball in college, Texas appears to be looking at him as a player who could fill a similar role to DJ Monroe, though Johnson's skill set is probably closer to former 'Horn Ramonce Taylor as a guy who can work as both a wide receiver and a running back.
