Florida wows Montravius Adams’ mom

Anyone who knows anything about recruiting knows that finding and pleasing the person who has the ear of the prized recruit is of the utmost importance.

And for many recruits, that means mom.

Montravius Adams is no different. And as the top defensive tackle told ESPN, Florida did a great job showcasing itself for his mom on his recent visit to Gainesville to take in Florida's big win over the LSU Tigers.

“I had a great time at Florida with my momma, a couple of my teammates,” Adams said. “My mom said she liked just about everything about Florida and that she loves the coaching staff there. My mom is very important in my recruitment.”

Adams has great quickness for a 300-pound high schooler, and in the right system and depth chart, could make an instant impact on even some of the best SEC defenses.

The commonly held belief, because he has long-standing relationships with both schools, is that Clemson and Auburn are his leaders. Bug Adams told ESPN that wasn’t true.

Does Florida have a real shot at Adams? Quite possibly. One thing is for sure: the win over LSU didn’t hurt.
