Adams had been speculated as a potential Clemson commit from the very start of his process, but made it clear he was going to leave the decision until near signing day. The five-star recruit would take his fair share of visits -- Florida, Alabama, and Georgia joined Clemson, with Auburn being added to the mix when they hired Georgia defensive line coach Rodney Garner. But it was long considered to be a race between Clemson and his home-state school of Georgia.

They’ll be looking to sway the a group of recruits that is currently uncommitted or committed elsewhere. One such recruit is Montravius Adams, a consensus 5-star defensive tackle from Dooly County High School in Vienna, Ga, who is currently uncommitted. Adams recently visited Alabama and Clemson and does not have any future visits planned at this time.

And he’s bringing his mom as Clemson hosts the Maryland Terrapins in what could be the most lopsided ACC contests of the weekend.
Clemson has long been considered one of the top contenders to land Adams. He likes Clemson’s coaching staff, which has a good track record of putting defensive linemen into the NFL.

Tunsil is currently believed to favor Georgia and Alabama, with Florida still somewhat in the picture.
Also making the trip to Gainesville is superstar defensive tackle recruit Montravius Adams. Out of Dooly County (Ga.) High School, Adams, holds offers from most every major program in the country. Adams has not mentioned Florida much during his recruitment, and is thought to favor Auburn and Clemson. But with a player who is firm in wanting to wait until after the season to make his choice, Florida has plenty of time to get in this race.

Now, however, that visit is off. Adams tells 247sports that the visit is off because his mother works a lot and could not accompany him on the trip. There’s no word if Adams plans to reschedule the visit to see the Spartans in East Lansing.
