Can Georgia seal the deal with Montravius Adams during visit?

Adams is one of the top defensive tackle prospects in the class of 2013, and he’ll be making yet another trip to Athens this weekend.

Defensive tackle prospect Montravius Adams will be in Athens this weekend to visit UGA, and he says this trip is as much for his mother as for himself.

“Well I’m just trying to see what my Mama is going to like about it really,” said Adams. “I know a lot about Georgia, and it is a great place. I want my Mama to see it again.”

Adams visited Georgia twice for games last season, and the Bulldogs are one of his finalists. He’s already visited Florida, Alabama and Clemson this month, and he is going to visit Auburn in the first weekend of February, according to Rivals. But that visit with the Tigers may be unnecessary if Adams -- and his mother -- are convinced by Mark Richt and company this weekend that Georgia is the place to be.

While Adams likes what Georgia has to offer, he also wants to become more familiar with new defensive line coach Chris Wilson.

“Yeah, I need to get to know [Wilson] a little better,” Adams said. “I like him a lot, but I want to get to know him more.”

Rivals ranks Adams as the third-best defensive tackle and the No. 25 overall prospect in the class of 2013.
