A’Shawn Robinson visiting USC

As expected for some time, 2013 Texas commit A'Shawn Robinson, a five-star defensive tackle from Fort Worth (TX) Arlington Heights, is in Los Angeles this weekend for his official visit to USC.

The 6-5, 300-pounder was at practice watching the Trojans prepare for the Sun Bowl.

Robinson is still considered a fairly solid verbal to Texas, the school that he committed to back in February without taking visits. Florida State was a destination earlier in the fall for the game against Clemson, while an Alabama trip was cancelled, through Robinson still plans on making it to Tuscaloosa before Signing Day.

Do any of the schools have a significant chance of flipping one of the top defensive tackles in the country and getting him out of the state of Texas?

USC would seem to have the best chance, as Robinson grew up as a fan of the Trojans, who now have two open spots in the 2013 class after the decommitments of Max Redfield and Eldridge Massington.

How well the trip goes this weekend could go a long way towards determining whether Robinson signs with Texas in February.
