Lucas Falk Likes Utah, Boise State And Wazzu

As the Wednesday evening session of the Jimbo Fisher football camp wrapped up, an unfamiliar face was throwing with FSU QB coach Dameyune Craig. Out of Logan (UT) High School, Lucas Falk paid his own way to Tallahassee to prove himself against some of the top athletes in the country. I caught up with the 6’4 215-pound Falk to get the latest with his recruitment.

“It was fun. The nation’s best athletes are down here, and it was cool to work with coach Craig and coach Fisher. Intense. Good stuff,” Falk said of his experience at the camp.

I asked Falk about how he came to the decision to visit the JFC. “I’d talked to coach Craig before, I really liked it, so I wanted to come down here and show him what I had,” Falk said.

As for playing with some of the speediest recruits in the country, Falk enjoyed the experience. “A little faster, it’s a little hard because you don’t have a rhythm with them, but once we got that down it went well,” Falk said.

Falk doesn’t currently hold any offers, but is receiving interest from Utah and Boise State. He plans to visit Utah later this week and Boise State the next.

But it is another school from which Falk would really like to hear. “Washington State. Coach Leach. I want to throw that ball around,” Falk said. “If I get the right offer, the one I love, I’ll probably commit right then,” he added.

In admittedly limited viewing, I thought Falk threw the ball well. I was unable to find highlights from his 2011 season.
