4-star Foster joins Alabama receiving corps


Foster, a central Pennsylvania native, had a strange final decision: he was between Alabama, typically in the mix for top recruits, and Pitt, who typically aren’t. Foster, whose hometown of Monaca, Pennsylvania is only 25 miles from Pittsburgh, made those two schools his official visits, and had them in his final two fter a final seven including Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State, USC, and Oregon. He was expected to go with Pitt, and Pitt blog Cardiac Hill eagerly expected him to go with Paul Chryst’s squad. But in December, Foster decided to go with the Tide. That didn’t exactly go over well with Pitt fans, as he would have been the biggest get in their recruiting class.

His final two consisted of the Pitt Panthers and the Crimson Tide. Foster has good speed, excellent leaping ability and body control.
A 6-3, 175-pound receiver ranked as a five-star prospect by 247Sports and Scout, Foster is a national prospect, and even at a place as loaded as Alabama, he should contend for immediate playing time.

A 6-3, 175-pound receiver ranked as a five-star prospect by 247Sports and Scout, Foster is a national prospect with offers from many of the major programs around the country. The school that stands out in his top three is the Pittsburgh, the local school that many believe will land the consensus top-25 national player, as the Panthers try to go head-to-head with two of the top programs in the country.
The loss to Youngstown State to start the season probably didn’t help the cause for Pittsburgh, nor a loss to rival Cincinnati, but two victories in the last two games have righted the ship somewhat, and recruits don’t often make decisions based on nothing more than a loss or two. If anything, the problems scoring at time merely underline how needed Foster is in Pittsburgh.
