Much-hyped Crete, Ill., wide receiver Laquon Treadwell will announce his college choice at a ceremony scheduled for 5 p.m. CT Thursday at his high school. Treadwell, who is widely considered one of the nation’s top high school wideouts, has reportedly narrowed his list of choices to Ole Miss, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State.

The five-star Illinois wide receiver will choose between Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma.
Treadwell led his school, Crete-Monee, to the state football championship in November, catching 81 passes for 1077 yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior. He has received five-star ratings from Rivals and Scout, with a four-star rating from ESPN.
While Treadwell has not tipped his hand yet, many expect Ole Miss to get the nod Thursday night. As Mike Helfgot reported in the Chicago Tribune, Treadwell's friend and former high school teammate, Anthony Standifer, is a freshman defensive back at Ole Miss. Treadwell has also become friends with Robert Nkemdiche, one of the nation's top football prospects and a likely Ole Miss signing. Helfgot states that Oklahoma State may remain in the hunt, but that Oklahoma is probably out of the running.
