USC commit Torrodney Prevot visiting Texas A&M

SB Nation’s Texas A&M recruiting analyst OrionHJarvis believes that the Aggies have a strong chance of flipping the longtime target.

The Texas A&M Aggies have about three spots left in their massive 2013 recruiting class and are hosting USC defensive end commit Torrodney Prevot of Houston (Texas) Alief Taylor this weekend as they try to close out with at least one more defensive end.

Last weekend, the Aggies secured an official visit from Lancaster (Texas) defensive end Daeshon Hall, a Washington commit who has visited College Station in the past.

Prevot, a consensus four-star prospect and 2013 US Army All-American, has been committed to USC since late July, but took a visit last weekend to Oregon, one that was not deterred by the coaching situation in Eugene.

A&M has been a longtime player in the competition for Prevot’s signature and the Aggies have the advantage of several close friends of Prevot already having committed or signed, including Alief Taylor teammate Jonathan Wiggins Houston (Texas) Westfield defensive tackle Hardreck Walker, and Sharpstown (Texas) linebacker Reggie Chevis.

It’s possible that the Aggies could close out with both Hall and Prevot after New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton linebacker was asked to take a grayshirt and appears unlikely to sign with the Aggies after taking other visits.

In fact, that's what Good Bull Hunting recruiting analyst OrionHJarvis believes -- that A&M will manage to flip both Hall and Prevot to complete a defensive line class that would rank among the best in the country with those additions. The Aggies have already secured the services of two US Army All-American defensive tackles in Justin Manning and Isaiah Golden.
