Confident Carl Lawson still committed to Auburn, looking at Ole Miss, Clemson, North Carolina

Will five-star Carl Lawson stick with Auburn?

Carl Lawson certainly doesn’t lack for confidence.

“Nobody can block me,” Lawson declared at the Under Armour All-America practices when asked what he learned about his game.

The 6’3, 245-pound Auburn defensive end commitment from Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton High School is dead on, at least from what I saw. Lawson is very quick off the football, plays low, and has excellent power as well.

Lawson has been reluctant to give interviews or talk about his recruitment.

“It gives me cushion. Reporters don’t even want to call you any more if you’re not going to talk to you,” Lawson said.

Aside from Auburn, Lawson is also looking at Ole Miss, Clemson and North Carolina. He plans to set official visits with the Rebels, Tigers and Tar Heels after this week.

“Ole Miss has a great staff,” Lawson said. “Clemson is a great school. North Carolina is a great academic school. They have a great staff.”
