Linebacker recruit Trey Johnson is scheduled to make his commitment live during the Under Armour All-America game Friday. There doesn’t figure to be much suspense.
Is Trey Johnson a lock to Ohio State? Talented linebacker recruit deciding Friday
Linebacker recruit Trey Johnson will decide Friday during the Under Armour All-America Game. He is expected to pick Ohio State.

Out of Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett High School, Johnson was a long-time Auburn commitment. He backed off the commitment, however, and considered several schools including Ohio State, Florida and Florida State.
Florida no longer has room for Johnson, and Ohio State has done a great job with his recruitment. He is fully expected to choose the Buckeyes, and his announcement Friday is really more of a chance to get on television than it is a true revealing of a decision. Ohio State insiders say that Johnson has already informed the Buckeyes’ coaching staff.
Johnson is a solid linebacker recruit. He should eventually be able to play at 230 pounds on his 6’2 frame. Johnson has good balance and has practiced hard during the time I saw him this week at Under Armour, and is deserving of his four-star rating.
