US Army All-American Bowl features nine commitment announcements

It was a packed day at the Alamodome in terms of commitments.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- One of the most action-packed US Army All-American Bowls in recent years will feature a whopping 11 announcements from high school prospects. [Update: Elisha Shaw and Matt Elam announced on Twitter that they will no longer be committing Saturday and will instead wait until National Signing Day.]

Here’s the full list of players expected to make their decisions, updated with their announcements:

Joe Mixon, Freedom (Calif.) all-purpose back to Oklahoma

6’2 | 195 pounds | ***** | No. 1 all-purpose back | No. 18 player overall | No. 3 player in California

Mixon’s decision could be the most dramatic of the day at the Army Bowl

Commentary: Mixon shot down rumors that he could pull out a Cal hat and will pick from his final three.

Marshon Lattimore, Glenville (Ohio) cornerback to Ohio State

Commentary: Lattimore maintains that he has no favorite and listed multiple schools he has not yet visited officially -- Louisville, Oregon, and USC.

Commentary: Morgan did his best to keep his decision a secret this week, as he has already chosen a school, but wants to maintain the suspense.

Commentary: The big wide receiver has a final five of Arkansas, LSU, Missouri, Oregon, and Texas A&M.

Commentary: This is a Los Angeles-area battle between the Bruins and Trojans for Dixon’s services.

Brian Wallace, St. Louis (Miss.) Christian Brothers College offensive tackle to Arkansas

Commentary: Wallace took official visits to Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, and Missouri during the fall.

Commentary: Shaw has a top five of Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Florida State, and Auburn and does have a leader, but was unwilling to name that school at the Army Bowl.
