Morgan, who stands in at 6’1, 225 pounds, played his high school ball at Crete-Monee High School in Illinois. He is rated as a four-star linebacker, according to 24/Sports. Morgan is considered as the 54th-best prospect nationally, as well as the No. 3 inside linebacker and the second-best player from the Land of Lincoln.
Before committing to the Fighting Irish, Morgan remained pretty mum about his recruitment. Most of the experts felt Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt were the three front-runners, though it was tough to really get a read on him as his senior season winded down. Morgan received upward of 35 scholarship offers from schools all across the country.

The Fighting Irish now have 23 pledges in a class that ranked No. 9 nationally even before Morgan’s commitment.
