The mammoth offensive tackle had also been considering the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Wallace checks in at an imposing 6’6 and 305 pounds, giving him the size and strength to potentially make an early impact in college. He played his high school ball at Christian Brothers College in St. Louis, earning first-team Metro Catholic Conference honors. Wallace received upwards of 13 scholarship offers throughout his recruitment, though he took his official visits to Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa and Missouri.
Wallace is ranked by 247Sports’ composite rankings as the 118th-best prospect in his class. He is also listed as the No. 14 offensive tackle nationally, as well as the third-best recruit from the Show Me State. But 247Sports thinks higher of Wallace than most other scouting services, ranking him in their top 100 and as the No. 1 recruit from the state of Missouri.
Here are some highlights of the big fella in action last year.
Wallace is the 20th commit in an Arkansas class that ranked No. 34 nationally in the 247Sports Composite team rankings, and should move up with the US Army All-American’s commitment.
