HOUSTON, Texas -- In a strong group of defensive backs at the Houston NIke Football Training Camp held recently at the Kinkaid School, 2016 Nacogdoches safety Brandon Jones was able to hold his own.

That’s hardly a surprise, as Jones is quickly becoming of the most highly-recruited prospects in his class -- he already holds offers from Baylor, Florida State, LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Washington State.

DESOTO, Texas -- One of the most explosive and dynamic prospects at the Dallas Nike Football Camp at Eagle Stadium recently was Longview (Texas) all-purpose back JaMycal Hasty, who posted one of the top SPARQ scores of the competition.

The consensus four-star prospect committed to Baylor a week before the event and spoke with SB Nation Recruiting briefly about his decision.

DESOTO, Texas -- At the recent Dallas Nike Football Training Camp at Eagle Stadium, one of the most physically impressive offensive linemen was Arlington (Texas) Bowie offensive tackle Madison Akamnonu.

At a chiseled 6’5 and 270 pounds, the consensus three-star prospect has not yet seen his rankings reflect his upside, which is significant after he showed the athleticism and the overall body quickness to set in pass protection and the flexibility to sit comfortably in his stance -- in a drill that asked linemen to do that for as long as possible, Akamnonu was one of the last to give in.

At the Dallas Nike Football Training Camp where Murray was the quarterback MVP and earned an invite to The Opening and the Elite 11, the nation’s No. 3 dual-threat quarterback spoke with SB Nation Recruiting about the Ducks and more.

For the 5’11, 170-pounder, the appeal of Oregon goes deeper than it does for many prospects.

Not only did the 6’3, 280-pounder earn offensive line MVP honors for his work on the day, he also earned a coveted invite to The Opening, the prestigious event held every summer by Nike that features 150 of the top prospects in the country.

In the one-on-one drills, Vahe was virtually unbeatable, even though he is at his best in high school when on the move.

DESOTO, Texas -- One of the top prospects in attendance at the Dallas NFTC on Sunday at Eagle Stadium was Stephenville (Texas) quarterback Jarrett Stidham, a consensus five-star prospect ranked as the No. 2 dual-threat quarterback in the nation.

HOUSTON, Texas -- At the Houston Nike Football Training Camp on Sunday at the Kinkaid School, Alabama safety commit Deionte Thompson was one of the standout players during the one-on-one portion of the drills.

The drills aren’t supposed to favor safeties who don’t often work in man coverage like a cornerback, but Thompson was able to use his length and physicality to consistently make plays, helping him earn his invitation to The Opening.
