The starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns left the field against Oklahoma in the fourth quarter with a wrist injury with an ugly wrist injury. Texas says, “initial x-rays show no fracture.”

    Report: Texas QB David Ash has broken wrist

    Ash was injured during the second half when he planted his left hand to break a fall. It was immediately clear that Ash was in severe pain and had likely suffered a significant injury. Orangebloods.com was the first media outlet to report Ash’s wrist as fractured.

    Before leaving the game, Ash was 13 of 29 for 113 yards and two interceptions. Backup Case McCoy came on in relief and completed 5 of 8 passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns. McCoy will likely start for the Longhorns as long as Ash is sidelined.

    In the midst of a Texas size blowout, sophomore quarterback David Ash injured his wrist in the fourth quarter and promptly went to the locker room to have x-rays done. It’s being called a wrist contusion.

    Reports and photos of the injury are not looking good.
