Casey Pachall suspended indefinitely by TCU after DWI arrest

TCU Horned Frogs starting quarterback Casey Pachall has been suspended indefinitely by the team after being arrested for DWI on Wednesday night, according to a report from the AP.

Horned Frogs head coach Gary Patterson made the announcement on Thursday, according to the article, as Pachall was pulled over by Fort Worth police for going through a stop sign. The quarterback had a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit, though the exact number wasn’t specified.

Pachall was arrested close to TCU’s campus and jailed in Mansfield, where he was held on $1,000 bond.

The junior quarterback has thrown for 948 yards, 10 touchdowns and only one interception so far this season for the undefeated Horned Frogs, who will host Iowa State this Saturday in a Big 12 contest.

This incident comes on the heels of Pachall’s admission, which surfaced in August, of a failed drug test in February.

Behind Pachall on TCU's quarterback depth chart are two underclassmen in Trevone Boykin, a redshirt freshman, and true frosh Tyler Matthews.
