Before former Penn St. Nittany Lions defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison Tuesday, the sexual abuse victims of the 68-year-old spoke. According to Sara Ganim of The Patriot-News, many of Sandusky's victims choked through tears to get out their words.

Victim 1, now 18, said Sandusky’s abuse over many years has made it impossible for him to trust anyone.
“I wish I could relax like it was before I ever met Jerry Sandusky,” the statement read.
“I’ve been looking over my shoulder for a long time.”
Five victims released statements before the sentencing -- three spoke in person, one wrote a letter and the fifth relayed their words through their mother. The theme for every statement was mostly the same.
“To watch my sweet little boy turn into this person is too much to bear,” the statement said. “Not only did you molest him, you caused him a lifetime of suffering and sorrow.
In June, Sandusky was convicted of 45 counts of sexual abuse. On the eve of his sentencing, Sandusky released an audio tape claiming he was innocent and he was given an unfair trial. The message was the same Tuesday when he spoke directly to Judge John Cleland. The plead for innocence was not taken well by his victims.
“You had the chance to plead guilty and spare us,” he said. “Instead you decided to try to attack us. We both know exactly what happened.
”I want you to know that I don’t forgive you and I don’t know that I will ever forgive you.
I grew up in a bad situation and you made things worse.
According to the judge, Sandusky’s sentencing should be considered a life sentence.
