The Texas Longhorns will be hosting the Iowa St. Cyclones, and this is will be the first game Texas will be playing after the death of the late legendary coach, Darrell K. Royal. Texas will honor Royal by lining up in the wishbone offense on their first offensive position and wearing DKR decals on their helmets.

The Longhorns have rebounded to win their last three games, and quarterback David Ash had a great game in their win against Texas Tech last week, tossing three touchdowns.

Longhorns head coach Mack Brown is mainly concerned with not repeating the 2010 performance where Iowa State came into Austin and defeated Texas. That loss sent the Longhorns in a tail spin for the rest of that year.

However, Iowa State is looking to repeat that performance, and if they do that this time around, they will get their sixth win, which would make them bowl eligible.

The Cyclones are coming off a 35-20 loss Oklahoma last week, their third loss in four games. Iowa State did manage to show glimpses of a consistent running attack, rushing for 99 yards on 24 carries.

Texas is ranked 107th in the FBS in rushing defense at 206.2 yards per game, and look for the Iowa State offense to take advantage of that weakness.

Game time, TV channel: 12 p.m. ET, Longhorn Network

Online streaming video: None

Point spread: Texas is favored by 9.5 points
