Boise State vs. Nevada game previews: TV schedule, odds and more

Boise State is looking to win a share of the Mountain West title as it goes on the road to face Nevada.

Soobum Im-US PRESSWIRE

The Boise St. Broncos are heading on the road to face the Nevada Wolf Pack this Saturday afternoon, and there is a lot riding on this game for the Broncos. A win on Saturday for Boise State will allow it to share the Mountain West title with Fresno State and San Diego State.

Boise State will also be looking for some revenge against Nevada on Saturday. Back in 2010, these two teams played an epic game with Nevada pulling off a major upset. The Wolf Pack overcame a 24-7 halftime deficit to ultimately win in overtime, and that lost cost the Broncos a shot at a BCS bowl game.

The key matchup in this game will be Boise State’s defense going up against Nevada’s high-powered offense. Boise State is No. 8 in total defense and allows just 293 yards per game, while Nevada racks up 503 total yards of offense per contest, good for 10th in the nation.

Nevada running back Stefphon Jefferson is the key to the Wolf Pack offense, and he is the player that the Broncos need to key in on if they want to win on Saturday. Jefferson is sixth in the nation in rushing yards with 1,564 yards, and has scored 20 touchdowns.

Nevada is also looking to avoid losing four games at home for the first time since 2000.

Game time, TV channel: 3:30 p.m. ET, ABC (regional coverage)

Online streaming video: ESPN3 (subject to blackout)
