Laquon Treadwell to decide Jan. 17: Ole Miss bound?

The nation’s top wide receiver prospect will make his college choice later this month, and Ole Miss has a strong chance of landing him.

Top wide receiver prospect Laquon Treadwell says he will make his college choice on Jan. 17. Treadwell has made several visits to Ole Miss already and the Rebels appear to be the favorites to land him, though both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are in the mix.

If Treadwell does end up pledging to Ole Miss, a big reason for that could be his mother, who is a fan of what the Rebels have to offer.

Treadwell is considered the No. 1 wide receiver prospect in the class of 2013 by Rivals.com, and the No. 10 overall prospect in the class. He is not yet done taking visits, as he plans to check out Oklahoma State beginning Jan. 11, and he also has reached out to Miami about a potential visit there. He visited Oklahoma in December.

As a junior in 2011, Treadwell caught 75 passes for 1,400 yards and 18 touchdowns.
