Iowa vs. Ohio State final score: Carlos Hyde, Buckeyes put Hawkeyes away

A strong performance from Braxton Miller and Carlos Hyde after the half puts the game out of reach, 34-24.

A feisty first half from Iowa was just enough to wake up No. 4 Ohio State’s offense, and the Buckeyes pulled away in the fourth quarter to win, 34-24.

Iowa led 17-10 at the half with scores on its first three possessions of the game, but at no point did Iowa demonstrate an ability to stop RB Carlos Hyde or QB Braxton Miller, and once the second half was underway Ohio State quickly and decisively took control of the ballgame. OSU outscored Iowa 24-7 after halftime, and the play on the field showed a significant talent disparity between the two teams.

Box Score Hero: Give Carlos Hyde the game ball for 24 rushes, 149 yards and two second-half scores. Also for this play.
