Just as they've done all season long, the Miami Hurricanes found a way to scratch out a narrow victory on Saturday afternoon, knocking off Wake Forest, 24-21. The Hurricanes are now 7-0 this season and will remain firmly in the hunt for the BCS National Championship.
Wake Forest vs. Miami 2013 final score: Duke Johnson leads Hurricanes to 24-21 win
The Hurricanes found a way to survive for the third week in a row. Next up is a huge showdown with Florida State.

The Hurricanes trailed 21-17 with just over four minutes remaining on the clock. Led by do-it-all tailback Duke Johnson, Miami marched down the field. It seemed Johnson had scored the game-winning touchdown here, but the referees somehow ruled he was out of bounds after reviewing it.
The questionable call would not come back to haunt the Hurricanes; Johnson bulldozed his way into the end zone on the following play to give Miami the lead once again.
Trailing 24-21 with less than a minute remaining, Wake Forest got the ball back with one final chance. An errant pass from Tanner Price was intercepted by Antonio Crawford, though, and the game was over.
Box Score Hero:
Stephen Morris: 17/28, 191 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
Duke Johnson: 30 carries, 168 yards, 2 TD
Tanner Price: 25/45, 302 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
Michael Campanaro: 10 receptions, 88 yards, 1 TD
Rankings Ramifications: It wasn’t a pretty win, but it should keep Miami close to No. 7 in the BCS rankings. At this point in the season it’s just about surviving each week.
But Did They Cover? Most lines had Miami as a 26-point favorite by kickoff. They failed to cover the spread, obviously.
