Kasen Williams injures left foot, carted off in an air cast

The junior wide receiver took an awkward hit and is unlikely to return.

Washington wide receiver Kasen Williams suffered an Lisfranc injury in the first half of the Cal-Washington game. After being hit by Cal’s Kameron Jackson, Williams remained remaining motionless on the field for several minutes and was eventually carted off with his leg in an air cast.

The injury could could force him to miss the rest of the year.

The junior has 28 catches for 400 yards and a touchdown this season, second on the team in the first category, and tied for fifth in the second.

His loss may be mitigated somewhat with the variety of weapons that Washington has at its disposal, including massive tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, leading wide receiver Kevin Smith, and running back Bishop Sankey, who reached the thousand yard mark earlier in the game.
