Black Friday college football schedule: Game times, TV coverage and more

The college football slate for the day after Thanksgiving includes the Apple Cup, the Civil War and much more.

Sure, you could brave the traffic and the crowds, but why bother? College football is here for you. The Black Friday schedule includes more than a dozen contests, including a couple of potentially compelling in-state rivalry games.

The full Friday schedule:

Noon ET Toledo, 7-4 Akron, 4-7 ESPN3.com
Noon ET SMU, 5-5 Houston, 7-4 ESPN2
Noon ET East Carolina, 9-2 Marshall, 8-3 CBSSN
Noon ET Iowa, 7-4 Nebraska, 8-3 ABC
1 p.m. ET Miami (Ohio), 0-11 Ball State, 9-2 ESPN3.com
1:30 p.m. ET Bowling Green, 8-3 Buffalo, 8-3 ESPNU
2 p.m. ET Eastern Michigan, 2-9 Central Michigan, 5-6 ESPN3.com
2 p.m. ET UMass, 1-10 Ohio, 6-5 ESPN3.com
2 p.m. ET Texas State, 6-5 Troy, 5-6 ESPN3.com
2:30 p.m. ET Arkansas, 3-8 No. 17 LSU, 8-3 CBS
3 p.m. ET FIU, 1-10 FAU, 5-6 FS1
3:30 p.m. ET Miami, 8-3 Pittsburgh, 6-5 ABC
3:30 p.m. ET No. 16 Fresno State, 10-0 San Jose State, 5-6 CBSSN
3:30 p.m. ET Washington State, 6-5 Washington, 7-4 FOX
7 p.m. ET Oregon State, 6-5 No. 13 Oregon, 9-2 FOX Sports 1
8 p.m. ET USF, 2-8 No. 19 UCF, 9-1 ESPN

The best game in the early afternoon might be East Carolina-Marshall; those two teams are both 6-1 in Conference USA’s East Division, so this is going to decide which team advances to the league title game. They’re both averaging more than 40 points per game this season.

Later in the afternoon, Arkansas will attempt to avoid an 0-fer in the SEC when it takes on LSU in Death Valley. Miami travels to Pittsburgh for a game that still has Coastal Division implications -- potentially. The Hurricanes need a lot of help at this point to capture the division.

Potential BCS-buster Fresno State will be in action against San Jose State, which is a game that might be deceptively tricky for the Bulldogs. In any case, the meeting between SJSU’s David Fales and Fresno’s Derek Carr represents one of the better quarterback matchups of the day.

Washington and Washington State reprise the Apple Cup for the 106th time, and do note the start time, because those who are tardy do not get Apple Cup!

Oregon and Oregon State meet to cap the evening, with the Beavers desperate to end a four-game losing streak and the Ducks coming off a crushing loss to Arizona. There’s also USF-UCF, if you’re into that sort of thing.
