The BCS National Championship Game will pit an ACC foe against an SEC squad, as the top-ranked Florida State Seminoles will face the Auburn Tigers, who appear to be the team of destiny after miracle wins over Georgia and Florida. The officiating crew will be impartial, obviously, as it was announced Monday that Big Ten officials will work the game.
Big Ten officials to work FSU-Auburn BCS National Championship Game
The conference averages the fewest flags per game in the nation.

We will not find out the names of those working on the crew until gameday, but officials get recommended by the commissioner of the conference -- in this case, Jim Delany.
Big Ten officials have a reputation for calling games conservatively, as Jon Solomon calculates teams from the conference averaged just 4.83 penalties per game -- lowest among all conferences in the nation. In 2012, the Big Ten also had the lowest penalty rate in the nation, as their 10.622 penalties per conference game ranked at the bottom of the FBS, with Wisconsin as the least penalized major conference team in the country.
