    FSU celebrates stunning national title comeback

    The final BCS National Championship Game may have been the best one yet. In what was an incredible 60 minutes of football, a last-minute touchdown drive from Florida State and Heisman winner Jameis Winston gave the Seminoles a stunning 34-31 victory over Auburn.

    Auburn got the football back with a couple of seconds left, but they weren’t able to do much of anything as the clock struck zero. The Seminoles rushed onto the field as confetti filled the Pasadena sky.

    The taunting penalty that may change everything

    If Florida State ends up losing the BCS National Championship to Auburn, the Seminoles will have to look back on a foolish (and controversial) taunting penalty late in the fourth quarter.

    Jameis Winston wins the Heisman

    His season was clouded with off-field controversy, as a Tallahassee woman accused him of sexual assault in 2012. However, Florida’s state attorney announced weeks ago that no charges would be filed.

    Winston is the first Heisman winner from Florida State since Chris Weinke, who won in 2000. He’s the second-ever redshirt freshman, after Manziel last year.

    BCS National Championship Game: FSU vs. Auburn

    Say goodbye to the BCS Championship Game -- this year marks the last one of its kind, before college football switches to a four-team playoff system next season. In a way, it is quite fitting that the BCS is laid to rest at the Rose Bowl, home of the oldest bowl in college football.

    There are, of course, no conference affiliations for this one -- the top two teams in the BCS standings will play, although the SEC has won seven consecutive titles, and nine overall. The other conferences have six between them.
