According to multiple sources, the USC Trojans have elected to part ways with offensive coordinator Kennedy Polamalu. USCFootball.com was the first to report the news, and Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports added some more information

Kennedy Polamalu is the latest assistant coach to be let go by USC this offseason.

USC had an offense that featured top players at multiple positions, including wide receivers Marqise Lee and Robert Woods, and quarterback Matt Barkley, and yet still fell short of expectations. The Trojans ranked sixth in the Pac-12 in scoring and fifth in total offense, which given the ensemble involved, was a big disappointment.
On top of that, the Trojans as a whole finished with a disappointing 7-6 mark, and multiple other assistant coaches have been let go as well. Polamalu was not the play-caller for USC, as that duty fell on head coach Lane Kiffin, who still has a job.
Defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin, linebackers coach Scottie Hazelton and defensive backs coach Marvin Sanders are the other three coaches that have been let go this offseason.
Polamalu has a long list of coaching experience, including stins with the NFL's Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns. He served as the Trojans' offensive coordinator and running backs coach for the past three seasons under Kiffin.
Apparently, not everyone is happy with the move as Ty Isaac, a five-star running back signee, sent out this tweet just before the news broke:
