Ole Miss and Miss. St. will fight for state bragging rights and the last turkey leg.

Ole Miss is coming into the season with heightened expectations after signing the best recruiting class in school history. Second-year head coach Hugh Freeze guided the Rebels to a 7-6 record in 2012 and figures to have a number of highly touted freshmen playing key roles in 2013.
The Bulldogs reached as high as No. 11 in the rankings before falling to Alabama in 2012. Mississippi State was able to beat up on the lower half of the SEC last season but struggled against the conference powers. Getting a big win or two is more likely in 2013. The Bulldogs host Ole Miss, Alabama and LSU in Starkville.
The Rebels took the last meeting between the two schools, a 41-24 blowout in Oxford. Ole Miss leads the all-time series 61-42-6.
