2013 Florida State spring game TV schedule, roster battles and more
The Seminoles will play their spring game on Saturday. Here’s how to watch it and what to look for.

The Seminoles are coming off an ACC title and Orange Bowl win in 2012, but they face some transitions heading into 2013. The biggest change will be at quarterback, where longtime starter E.J. Manuel has departed for the NFL. The battle to replace Manuel is between Jameis Winston and Clint Trickett, with the general consensus being that if Winston can get a handle on the offense, he will take the job as a redshirt freshman.
On defense, the Seminoles have to replace almost the entire front seven. Christian Jones is the only returning starter in that group, and the team will need to replace standouts like Bjoern Werner and Tank Carradine. However, Florida State has recruited extremely well in this area in recent years, and players like Timmy Jernigan and Mario Edwards should be able to step in and carry on.
The secondary is much more stable, with Xavier Rhodes being the only starter who isn't back in Tallahassee. Keelin Smith and Ronald Darby are the two candidates to take over the starting cornerback role, but both are dealing with injuries at the moment.
