Media Day is underway at BYU on Wednesday, and athletic director Tom Holmoe announced that the school has reached a three-year contract extension with head coach Bronco Mendenhall. Mendenhall, who has a 74-29 record in eight season in charge of the Cougars, is now signed through the 2016 season.
BYU agrees to contract extension with Bronco Mendenhall, series with USC
The Cougars announced they extended head coach Bronco Mendenhall through the 2016 season, and will play a three-game series with USC starting in 2019.

Holmoe also announced that the Cougars will play a three-game series with the USC Trojans. USC will come to Provo in 2019, and the Cougars will play in Los Angeles in 2021 and 2023. USC joins Arizona, Utah, and Washington State as Pac-12 schools that will play the Cougars during the next decade.
In addition to those two major announcements, BYU announced it has finalized an agreement with the Poinsettia Bowl for the 2015 season, but apparently has an escalator clause that would allow for better bowl access if it wins more than nine games.
