Southern Miss interested in former Georgia AD Damon Evans, according to report
The disgraced former Georgia AD could get a second chance at Southern Miss.

Evans was the athletic director at Georgia from 2004-2010, but his tenure in Athens ended after he was arrested for a DUI when he reportedly asked the officer that pulled him over to let him go to a hotel instead of jail. He was also pulled over with a 28-year-old woman -- not his wife -- and was found in possession of a pair of her underwear (they were red).
Evans has not worked in college athletics since he resigned from his position in July of 2010, but Southern Miss may be willing to give him a second chance. After years of being one of the most stable programs in Conference USA, things have become bumpy in Hattiesburg as the next athletic director will be the third in a span of 17 months.
